separators / separator system

Separator systems are wastewater treatment plants in which water is separated from mineral and organic grease and oil. This is achieved with a purely physical process (difference in density and coalescence). In Europe, DIN EN 858 specifies the parameters for separator systems for light liquids. The parameters for separator systems for grease are covered in DIN EN 1825. (See also treatment of precipitation water.)
