ductile iron
Ductile iron is an iron carbon alloy with a carbon content of more than 2.06%. EN 1560 distinguishes three types of ductile iron, depending on the graphite geometry: grey cast iron with lamellar graphite (GJL), vermicular iron with vermicular graphite (GJV) and ductile iron with spheroidal graphite, also called ductile graphite iron (GJS).
