fall channel
Fall channels commonly refer to channels with built-in fall. In these channels, the base has a difference in level at each end. That means that even if the channel is installed level, a channel run will still have an internal fall. In this way, surface water can be drained off even more quickly. As an alternative to installing fall channels, it is also possible to lay channels in a manner that creates a stepped fall. To achieve that, channels without built-in fall but with gradually increasing construction height are joined together.
